Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I was just flashing through the channels and notice a girls rugby match on.

I find it interesting that women want to play very aggressive sports like boxing and rugby gaa etc.

    What's the view here...

Why wouldn't they, or shouldn't they play whatever they want?

You have made an explicitly sexist post. Titled "the gentle sex" then proceeded to opine that it's "interesting" that the sex you deem gentle wishes to play aggressive sport.

You have made a position clear by dint of how you framed your question.

You also ignored the question I asked of you. Why wouldn't or shouldn't women play whatever sport they choose?

Personally? Regarding women's Rugby in particular. It's a sport I find the women's game of a far better standard than the comparable standard in football.

There a great many fantastically skilled female players and it can be am entertaining watch. As for why they chose to play such sports?

    Why not?

Yeah, let’s not indulge this folks. It’s not like the Irish women’s team have won any grand slams in recent history or that the women’s RWC was held here a few years back. That this poster only just realised women play rugby is highly questionable. It’s far more likely a troll. No need to feed it.

I find it interesting that you find it interesting. But not as interesting as refering to women as girls and the gentle sex in 2021.

My opinion, I'm tempted to say gotta be a troll, but who knows these days.

Some of us struggled with injury/niggles throughout and one of the girls in particular struggled in the lead up but she toughed it out far better then I reckon I would have
