Best tool for cutting gear cable housing?

I need to buy a cutter that can easily handle the reinforced gear cable housing, which brand would you recommend, preferably one that I can buy in a shop in Dublin/Kildare..? Any Irish based stockists of IceToolz gear??

What do you mean by reinforced, have you a metal type hydraulic hose or similar?

I use the park tool cutter and it's been perfect. I'd imagine Halfords would have a cheaper alternative.

I think he means gear cable housing with the wire sheath rather than the coiled steel type used for brake cables. Electrical cable snips will usually work on the latter but not the former.

As you say, the standard park tool cutter (or any of the clones) does just fine with this. Sometimes you get some flattening at the cut, but this can be easily reshaped with a pliers or a very narrow screwdriver. The most important part is the ferrule.
