Hi lads, I know Eir are not the most loved network out there, but they are offering great deal on SIM only plans. €14.99 for all calls, texts and no limits 5g. Might be handy for someone

There is a €9.99 setup fee which is applied to your first bill.

The fair usage on the data is 120GB. Their T+C mention limiting your service rather than charging outside your allowance though which I guess is the preferred option on a bill.

Still seems like a half decent plan though with the 5G.

It’s a good deal none the less. The way plans go in 12 months time there will be a more competitive plan out there (more data etc )

I haven't signed in since 2018 but did just to let people know that the 5g won't work with all 5g enabled phones. Eir have to allow a specific phone onto their network before it will pick up 5g.

It is. People just need to realise that they will need to give the required notice prior to the end of the 12 months and/or be prepared to negotiate with Eir so that they don't get a shock when the next bill arrives.

I was with eir very briefly and can confirm no wifi calling , calling over LTE or 5g enabled on pixel 4a 5g. Only vodafone or three I'm afraid. It's shame because I could sometimes get 250mb download on 4 g using eir in places

I was with Eir on a sim only deal prior to moving to GoMo when they came out a couple of years ago and they definitely had wifi calling on my plan, I was using an iphone. Im surprised the dont have in with this plan now as its available on the 14.99 gomo plan. Its not available on gomo for the 9.99 customers yet

I signed up for this deal a few months back. It was €5 extra for 5G, which I didn't bother with. Over the past few weeks I've had 5G out and about. I sort of assumed it was a short term thing, or testing or some such but seems like they may have moved us all onto this.

Just for a bit of fun I asked Eir CS about that & got this reply - "eirs 5G band (N78) are supported on the pixel phone as seen on their website under tech specs"

Guess they either don't know or are telling a fib!

That offer has been on their site for over a year.You must have been a customer otherwise its 19.99 and for a limited period

That is not correct, before this "connect" plan offer did NOT include 5G, only the more expensive "complete" plan included 5G.

The new offer includes 5G independent if you take the connect or complete package.

And the "connect plan" is now either 9.99€ (existing broadband customer) or 14.99 (new customer).

And it's always a limited time only and then reverting to a higher price.

Bought a Pixel 5 5G Phone Last Xmas and signed up for this plan and not a sniff of 5G in Galway city centre with it

Band N78 is supported on the Pixel 5 5G but it didnt work for me...

Sure if anyone gets it working on Eir 5G with a Pixel 6 do let us know :-)
