couple of good books on Mossad's "expeditions" out there that go through the more interesting ones (and more) that they skirt over in the post-episode one here

"Hunting Eichmann" by Neal Gascomb is a very good one that came out recently, details a very similar operation (though even more twists, as they needed to get Eichmann back to Israel alive to stand trial).

I think I recognised some of the assassinations mentioned from the book 'Vengeance', by George Jonas, which the film 'Munich' was based on (though some have questioned the veracity of parts of this book).

I listened to it, its a solid 8/10. some might like it more but i thought it started repeating alot of it self towards the last few episodes. V interesting story behind it all, i heard some interviews with some of the contributors on bbc since then.
    Def. worth a listen

    Hunting Warhead.

Quite possibly best pod I've ever listened to. The subject is not for everyone, it centres on child sex abuse/dark web/peodo Ben faulkner but it is genuinely brilliant.

Can't get enough of Real Dictators. Won gold at the British Podcast Awards. The research, narration, and mood music is next level stuff.

Same. Best pod I’ve listened to in years. The production is beyond absolutely top notch.

Loving the current instalments about Gaddafi

They've a new one out in August: https://www.noiser.com/theshorthistoryof

It's another podcast about history. If it's up to the standards of Real Dictators then it will be brilliant.

I wonder if Dan Carlin's Hardcore History and Mike Duncan's History of Rome style of in-depth history is still popular?

    MANFORD.jpg

There's a weekly podcast released each Sunday of Jason Manford's Absolute Radio show. He does it with his mate, Steve Edge and I love it for a bit of silly banter.

Since the Great Recession I've become very interested in economics, and one very good recent podcast on this is Think Like An Economist. The presenters, Betsey Stevenson and Justin Wolfers, are working economists and educators e.g. Stevenson was an advisor on Joe Biden's transition team last year.

You are the type of what the age is searching for, and what it is afraid it has found. I am so glad that you have never done anything, never carved a statue, or painted a picture, or produced anything outside of yourself! Life has been your art. You have set yourself to music. Your days are your sonnets.

Tony bellew is angry. Tony bellew the former boxer has a new podcast on Spotify and he asks guests what makes them angry and what was the most angry they have been. I have listened to 2 episodes. One with Wayne Rooney and the other with Ricky Gervais. Both very good. Your getting a different angle on guests

So what's the best podcasts of all time?? The Witness is the first one I listened to and now I'm hooked. Looking for more to get into.

I know I'm probably late to the party but West Cork is really good. I'm not usually into true crime but Ian Bailey is a brilliant villain. Whether he did it or not he's a compelling villain character and the series is really well put together.

If someone was to ask me what is the best podcast series you've listened to? Then I probably would say - on balance - West Cork as well.

OTB's Sunday Paper review is a must for any sports fans. If only they were given more time to discuss, they are always pushed for time and have to rush through at the end.

    Stuff You Should Know

    Omnibus

    History of Rome

    Love & Radio

These aren't my personal favourites, but it would be difficult to argue that they aren't among the best podcasts in terms of storytelling an production:

    This American Life

    Serial

    S-Town

    99% Invisible

Was looking through my subscriptions for new episodes, and see that they are making new episodes of 'The Dropout' - it relates the rise and fall of a tech company entrepreneur whose company collapsed amongst allegations of fraud, etc.

The trial is taking place at the minute, so the story is unfolding in real time, week by week. If you enjoyed 'The Missing Cryptocurrency Queen', you might enjoy this one.

I just came across this whole section, didn't realise it existed. Here are a few I'd recommend, apologies if they've been recommended before, there's 22 pages.

They Walk Among Us - true crime quite good, quite consistent

Picture The Scene Podcast - True crime - Quite new but episode 2 is an Irish case, the girl that got kidnapped and killed a few years ago in Dublin and episode 5 amused me. Still new so you can hear teething problems but hopefully could be good

True Crime Investigators UK - True crime - quite unique, they're two ex British police and they actually speak to some of the victims and investigators from the actual crimes - Some they investigated themselves. One of the cases they interview Stephen Downing who was wrongfully imprisoned for 27 years.

Grounded with Louis Theroux - If you like Louis you'll like this, if you don't you'll hate it

Mysterious Universe - Complete nonsense and I should hate it but it constantly makes me laugh. I'm convinced it's a huge p**s-take and the hosts don't believe anything at all. The topics are all paranormal and aliens and stuff like that

Super familiar with the Wilsons - Again logically I should hate this, it's a couple from the states just chatting mostly about nothing important but I find myself listening to it every week still.

Just came across this one called Sideways

Really interesting perspective on situations and events in history. The stories are well told and weave together different situations into a really interesting narrative.

[Sideways] 1. Siding with the Enemy #sideways
