Windows 10 x64 not responding...

I left my other computer an hour ago with a few programs running. The only active program was my Backblaze cloud backup.

I've just returned and the clock is frozen at 10:11.

Task Manager is not shutting down the programs and I cannot shut down the computer via the Power button - it just won't respond.

Before I use the power switch to force it to shut down, anything else I should consider?

    Thanks.

    D.

    Thanks.

When I got back to the computer, I was able to open Task Manger. But, it wouldn't close any programs.

Now, I can't close the Task Manager window itself. It's also blank.

So, holding down Ctrl/Alt/Del is no longer having any effect.

Try holding the Power Button for 3 seconds. If you do have to pull the plug, do it quickly to prevent it from arcing.

a mate had Blackblaze and whenever Safety Freeze kicked in, it would lock his entire PC (its not meant to do this apparently). There is a way through blackblaze to see what folder/file caused the safety freeze (if it was that).
