How can I get rid of this water?

Hey, I have a man coming to build a wall for me soon. After clearing an old stone wall I've noticed a lot of water building up in it's place. Since this is where the new wall will be built I was wondering how best to drain this water? Could I just fill it with medium size rocks and then pebbles so that the new wall can be built on top? It keep refilling each time there's rain.

Dig a trench towards the right where there appears to be a drop.

Just curious. It looks like it's a rural location with no other walls, why the need ???

Some form of digger, either through hiring one or hiring someone who has one.

Then drainage piping surrounded by gravel and soil to top. Pipe should have a continuous slope to the low area out of which the water should flow from where it is.

That water is seeping from the big pile of clay/dirt. Get rid of that, and flatten the area. Should be no more water

you will be digging down for a foundation for the wall anyway. either change the fall by raising that side or lowering the other side.easy job when the digger is there anyway
