What's the point in installing new EV charge points and ESB retrofitting existing ones in N I?

BBC news N.I business news announcing new charge points being installed,pay as you go by Triex.

If there is zero legislation to prevent blocking the bays with petrol and diesel cars, will anything change after 10 years?

It looks like initially they may be installed at apartments in Coleraine,but also in supermarkets.

Well the state of the network in NI is shockingly poor, but finally improving (a little!). More points is always better.

In Belfast, you can be ticketed if your parked in an EV space and not charging. Don't know how well its enforced but the wardens are supposed to be fairly sharp if you haven't paid and displayed.

Put them in a remote part of the car park and not in a prime position.

Good to know.Seems all eleven councils will have to meet and agree on parking.I was told this 5 years ago by Sean Rogers MLA,in writing ,from Stormont.

Problem there is they need access to 3 phase supply.
