    Plugshare for finding chargers

    Abetterrouteplanner for planning longer trips

    Ecars for Charging

    Easygo for charging

Others as required when you arrive at a charge point with a different app 😁

Needtocharge App to allow others to contact you if you're not at the car. Not essential by any means, but can be very helpful for someone waiting.

Ecars, maybe EasyGo/Ionity if there's a convenient charger, ABRP for route planning, whatever app comes with your car to check battery levels and preheat

Firstly it depends what you want to do.

To find chargers use plugshare and filter by CCS or ChaDeMo. It has the most chargers listed including b and b etc. It covers all brands.

To plan routes with short range EV, use a better route planner, but refer back to plugshare user reports as charger may be broken for months.

To activate ESB chargers use ESB app and or ESB RFID card. This is cheapest. You can set up favourite chargers in all, and quickly check if they are in use mid trip.

To activate easygo and lidl chargers use Easygo app.

For other random chargers specific apps may be needed.

There may be apps for your car and home charge point.

Zapmap is good for UK/NI but plugshare is better for ROI as I update plugshare daily.

Plan your trips that many or most chargers may be busy, blocked or broken and refill car often before you are any way low, this way you can struggle to next charger if the first one is blocked etc.
