Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Tesla Service Experience

    Hey Guys,


    Just wanted to give me experience of Tesla Service (Although here in Dusseldorf)

    Had some minor issues,

    Bubbles in the steering wheel, 2 Piece Steering wheel with Plastic/Rubber Wheels (2020 Model SR+)

    Creaking noise in the back when going over bumps, couldn't find where it was.

    Boot Alignment was slightly touching the bumper.

    Loose underside panel underneath passenger door

    Door seals not flat


    Scheduled an appointment through the App, selected everything and took pictures.


    Turned up at the Service Center, they offered a Model S as a loaner while my own car was being serviced.

    Car was ready 4 hours later, everything covered under warranty.

    As a bonus I got the refresh Steering wheel as a replacement, 1 Piece with Metal wheels instead :)

    For the creaking noise he said they drove around for 20 minutes with 2 guys in the back seat and they eventually found the creaking noise was a loose fitting on the drivers seat, noise is gone now.

    As a point for myself though, what criteria is used for a Tesla Ranger? I didn't even get the option for a home visit. ?

    I also had bubbles in my 2020 SR+ steering wheel so they replaced it under warranty, and like you I got the refresh steering wheel with metal scroll wheels.


    regarding the ranger criteria... they decide based on what you submit into teh app if its a Ranger job.

    I had a few issues so went to the SC (and also got a Model S90D loaner), they determined there that a new steering wheel would be provided, but as they didn't have them in stock, it was a ranger job about 5-6 weeks later...


    Also previous to that, I had a fogged up rear light, and then was determined to be a Ranger job.
