    Hi,

Daughter has unfortunately had difficulties with pooing the last couple weeks and would often go 2-3 days without and would be in pain/crying when she does eventually go.

Our GP prescribed her 20ml of lactulose a day.. we’ve been giving it to her for the past week and have noticed she’s going more regularly now, about 2-3 times a day and sometimes it’s very watery. Wondering how long should we be giving it to her and how do we know when she no longer needs it? We had stopped previously after a week and a half but the problems then returned afterwards.

Anyone else had this problem too? Thanks for any info.
