that tactic is with you right out of the team, and club preferably.

is that a real quote from ole?...We might have to change, do we need more legs in there? What do we need?

Tbf to Maguire it was a ridiculous decision to start a fella who has only a couple of days training in his legs against two mobile quick forwards in Vardy and Iheanacho.

Maguire might have got through the game if he was playing against the likes of Rondon but was always going to be exposed against Leicester. Can Ole and his 'staff' not realise that?

Never knew Neill Lennon was on drugs....he said before the game that Maguire 'has been excellent so far this Season'.

If DDG wasn't on the ball it could easily have been 7 or 8 today.

Even allowing for our HUGE problems in midfield imo the signing of Ronaldo has unbalanced the team upfront. Ronnie isn't working nearly enough to keep the opposition CB's honest when they get the ball,so our press doesn't function at all as likes of Greenwood or Sancho are only going on their own to press the ball.

Last Season all 3 forward players pressed well as a unit, especially when you had Rashford,Cavani and Greenwood on the field together.

Opposition Managers know this Season that their defenders can play the ball around a bit more as Ronaldo isn't putting enough of a shift in....and if he has to conserve all his energy to get an individual goal I think we will be in trouble for the rest of the Season.

To be totally honest about our performance today none of our outfield players were neither interested or cared about the performance today, the amount of balls given away, half hearted challenges, under passed balls and a total lack of giving a siht.

Body language of players tells me alot and if ole is not gone tomorrow it will say alot about the goals the club have.

The club is a total joke at the moment imo.

Would Ole get hired by any top team if available?

So why does United stick with him?

Genuine question, do you think any other premier league club would take a punt on Solskjaer after this attempt at management?

There's a definite feeling of Solksjaer being a dead man walking. This has the same feel to it as the last months under Mourinho.

We need a manager who can whip this side into shape but who can also have the type of influence you need to have over this type of group of players.

Conte is the outstanding candidate for me, particularly with his ability to organize sides into hard to beat teams who pick up more points than they drop. I think if we bring Conte in now we're contenders for the title next season. He may well only be at the club for a few years but that's time enough to put a long term plan in place.

I still think we have to go sit through losing to Liverpool, Spurs and City as well as going out of the champions league before anything changes.

The excitement of Ronaldo returning has long since passed.

I can hazard a guess of what we need and that's you and your cronies out of club asap

One of the worse utd managers we've ever seen in the PL history.

clearly not. he wouldn't manage in the championship. this career path for him is over.

why do they stick with him? i'm not really sure, my original answer was as follows:

they did a CBA and determined this is the best course of action to maximize profit while minimizing spend, plus he is so imponent he will toe the party line.

but they have spent money, and lots of it. they want a cuck in there i guess

Ole has to change the system or drop Ronaldo ,

There's Ronaldo, the two wide forwards & Bruno so when United lose the ball there vulnerable nearly every single time ,throw Pogba into that as CM & your looking for trouble defensively

Never mind a top team, I doubt any PL side would hire Ole if he was relieved of his duty.

Genuinely don't see any other side going for him.

    Says it all.

"I think if we bring Conte in now we're contenders for the title next season. He may well only be at the club for a few years but that's time enough to put a long term plan in place."

That was what people were trying to convince themselves about the Mourinho appointment, which was always a mistake. Appointing someone like Conte would just be repeating the same mistake, triggering yet another 4-5 year rebuild as Conte demands more signings to play the way he wants to. There is a decent squad there right now that has been built up over the last few years at great expense. A good coach that can organise a team and is flexible enough to use the players available should see a significant improvement.

However, I'm resigned to the fact that when/if Ole is replaced, the club will go with something like Conte.

or what about just manage the team and tell them to track back or be dropped?

a team can afford a passenger or 2 in defense if everyone else gives a bit extra, or those players simply occupy the space to cut off passing angles.

none of that happens, and thats all on the manager.

no reason for the 2 wide forwards and bruno not to track back. ole is a cuck though who doesnt have the balls to demand this of his players. pogba as well, tell him what you expect and if he don't deliver in a midfield 2, drop him.

Yeah conte is not who you want in, doubt he would like the glazers style as well, ten hag be an interesting one but he is contracted till 2023

Cardiff was a basket case of a club with big problems off-field, I think any manager would have had a hard job keeping them up. So I was prepared to give Ole the benefit of the doubt at first. But not any more. It's clear that the players are not being coached properly, selection is nuts, subs are worse, etc. etc. Mistakes are being made again and again and not being learned from. It's clear that 2nd/3rd (without ever getting into a title race) is peak Ole, but CL is looking unlikely this season if Ole is kept on.

I disagree with that assessment. Mourinho is clearly yesterday's man and was before he came to United. The United job was seen as much as a chance for Jose to redeem his place in the game as it was for United to regain theirs through him. Neither United or Mourinho were starting from a position of strength and that's why that appointment was doomed to fail.

Conte is a different animal, he's consistently successful wherever he goes, and that isn't in the past tense like it was with Mourinho when he came to United.

Long term we need a proper plan to develop the club, short term we have a manager who is going to have us drop like a stone through the league table if left in charge, Conte is the man to arrest that decline and he has the ability to perhaps win a trophy or two with the players we have at the club.

Having watched the Watford game, I reckon Ranieri will be available in about a months time

    Proven PL winner

Sentiment is ruining the Club.......for Ole returning,Ronaldo and Pogba too....There is no direction,no plan just wing it!Ole has to go,Conte probably too confrontational but maybe that's what they need.Drop Pogba.....he's going on a free and has no ambition, use Ronaldo as an impact sub and organise midfield to DEFEND.Only for a great performance from DDG today it could have been 7 or 8.

Wouldn't be too concerned about that tbh, what's he likely to be getting paid in the ED, £20, £30k a week? 2 years left on his deal we could probably buy out his contract for less than £5m.

Now whether he'd want to leave there and join us is another thing entirely.

What I'd like to see is someone like Zidane come in on an interim basis til the summer and between now and then a proper assessment of who / what we want be done.

Actually effing scouting for the job rather than giving it to the first person that gets a few decent results.

Didnt have any hope when saw Pogba was in a two man mid with poor Matić.

We never had a cat in hells chance with Pogba in midfield. Choosing to start with 10 men against Leicester was never going to work.

    avram grant anyone?

ancelotti is one manager i could have seen having a great career with utd after fergie but that ship has sailed given he's back at real. he was easily attainable as well till real re hired him. a class act who knows what he's doing

Biggest problem with a new manager is Pogba will probably get a new contract to show the "start of a new era".

And we have to put up with him stinking out the place till he retires.
