Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

How do you go about checking if it's still on the road??

It's the red color, beige interior spec. God I loved that car.

Sold it to 2 young fellas from Wexford about 8 years ago.

One of those car reports would probably give you some details on current status.

My advice, you may not want to see the condition it’s in now.

NCT website says next test due for this car on 26th November which is a good indication it is still on the road.

Your young lads from Wexford sold it in October 2018.

It doesn't appear to be currently taxed looking at Cars Ireland classifieds but that's not always 100%.

The pricing of them has gone crazy, I was looking at some 2000/2001 around that time you sold yours and they are now going for much more money.

    No nct since 25/11/18

Last nct centre seems to be blarney cork

Need to look at the NCT expiry date rather than the due date. A car could be out of NCT for years but the due date will keep incrementing.

IS200s seem to have massively increased in popularity lately. I recently spotted 2 of them heading for Galway (1 driving on the motorway and the other 1 on a trailer, which looked like it had been stored in a field), both of them were red. On my last trip to Galway, I pulled into Athlone for a bite and there were 3 IS200s in the car park by McDonald's. Are they becoming popular again for any particular reason? I was never aware of anything "special" about them other than some being Yamaha engined variants.

they are the modern successor to the mk2 escort/corolla twinCAM for the cruising generation. Saw some someone looking on facebook for there old IS200 recently and it had 18 previous owners !!

The NCT check page no longer seems to provide information for long-expired cars. I try searching for a car which last did an NCT in 2015 and it just shows "vehicle unavailable" now, whereas it did previously show details (possibly last year it still worked).

When that happens I think it means that the car has been officially scrapped. There is also a different "not found" message which means that the car was not active on the system when the nct was introduced in 2000.

I have a car that was last taxed and ncted in 2011 and it comes up in the system.

Thanks for all the tips here.

Was first decent car I owned, at a time when life was starting to go well and I had a bob or two in my pocket.

If did cost a fortune tho, mpg was horrendous.

    Cheers!
