Automatic/ renew electric gate controls

    Hi,

    property has electric gates, nobody seems to have the code. Fobs all working fine.

    The gates don’t have a sensor inside for people driving out, or certainly not one that is working.

    I would like to get a sensor for those driving out, and refresh the controls, and get a mobile app or wireless setup too


    where so I start?

    What make is the key pad ?

    The codes can be reset easily.

    To do the exit senors you really need to put a loop of wire onto the drive to detect cars.

    Thankfully there is a range of vehicle detectors that have done away with the need for induction loops.


    OP you need to get a gate automation specialist to survey what needs to be done there and also to perhaps ensure that the automation system is complying to the latest H&S requirements,

    Ok, so I have a targa bpt intercom.

    I have no code.

    Can i get an engineer code or is there a trick with the fob to get gates to stay open (like double press open or hold open button?).


    Can i replace the intercom setup at gate and in house with something "smart" on mobile?

    or who is best placed to come out and get them setup the way we would like? Currently surviving with the fob (no codes, no ability to change times)
