Kante joined Chelsea 5 years ago.

Kante is a completely different type of player to VDB.

Kante had a release clause of £30m with Leicester.

The whole Jose - Shaw thing was completely overblown at the time and has been over the last 8 months as Shaw really started performing.

I believe a majority of posters here wanted Shaw replaced at the time (I was indifferent), he was poor yet Jose persisted with him. His uptick in form started under Jose but I'd credit Shaw for taking the criticism on the chin and knuckling down.

Sorry if not the right place to ask but I'm trying to buy a home kit for a 7 year old and I can only see up to 5/6 online. Is it that they're all sold out or you've to buy shorts etc separately from that age up?

    Facccchhhtt or no Faccccchhht?

Early kick off games on Saturday can set the tone for my weekend.

    What say you Rafa

Why on earth are we playing early today after CL on Wednesday night?

Be interesting to see what "rotation" Ole uses. My guess is he'll go with McFred and free roles for the front 4.

I'm pretty sure the mini kits stop at 5/6 years so you need to buy the shorts separately.

Yes I'm fairly sure they stop at age 5-6. However I find football kits size quite big so if the child is on the small side for their age the 5-6 could work.

    here we go:

Team to play Everton: De Gea, Wan-Bissaka, Lindelof, Varane, Shaw, McTominay, Fred, Fernandes, Greenwood, Martial, Cavani

Subs: Henderson, Bailly, Pogba, Ronaldo, Lingard, Sancho, Telles, Matic, Van de Beek

    Martial 🤐

This could come back to haunt Ole at 2.30

Martials last game for us hopefully. Going to be hilarious to see the work rate of him vs Cavani.

Irrelevant to the point I made. You can't expect a player to show any consistency if he doesn't get you know a consistent run.

I will save you the bother he has never started 3 in a row in the PL.

In fact open to correction but don't he has started 2 in a row either.

That's not good enough and we have seen tactically and training wise Ole has no clue on judgement anyway.

So much rotation but McTominay & Fred still start ffs . Donny must be crying inside

That's some bench with Ronaldo, Pogba, Sancho & Lingard all there.

Happy that Cavani is starting but I'm more excited to see Martial play on the left wing which is his best position imo

Gamble from Ole, hopefully it pays off.

Martial in the 11 makes me feel sick...

I'm ok kn seeing Ronaldo rested however. He can't play every game.

Has Sancho ever started at RW (you know his preferred position)

Gonna be the new VDB soon

Absolutely sickened to see Martial start!

You've got to feel Donny was never going to start today, especially with the video of him not being happy on Wednesday. He wont even come on today I say the subs me Ronaldo, Pogba, Sancho then Lingard

Another supremely talented, technically gifted player who is wasted under Ole because you can't just hoof it over the top to him and hope he does it all on his own.

Do you know if it’s actually his preferred position? Not saying you’re wrong, genuinely interested if he’s said that.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,474 ✭✭✭Quags

I don't know if its his preferred position but Ole and the leaks for the last year were screaming for him to play RW

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 27,885 ✭✭✭✭pjohnson

    Martial a random inclusion.

Happy to see Rashford nowhere near. After seeing the photo of him training I was expecting him to get the full 90.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,392 ✭✭✭d22ontour

So instead of Pogba and mcfred which is mostly horrendous, we get Martial...

There we have it. Doesn't matter how poor Fred or McTominay play they are stalwarts of the team. How Ole looked at that abject performance by McTominay on Wednesday and rewards it with another start just boggles the mind. Throw in Martial, who, let's be honest, is a lazy git and couldn't care less when he plays.

These lads must be pulling up trees in training or have incriminating material on Ole.

Solskjær on Cavani and Martial: “They know they're good players, they know they're going to be important for us if we're going to be successful. This season we need to rotate, we need to manage the minutes, we need to make sure we're a big squad and we're together.

😂 sometimes you feel he be better of telling Donny to train with the reserves and include a youth prospect on the bench

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,704 ✭✭✭xtal191

That 11 should still be beating this Everton team easily enough with the players they're missing. I'll go for a 3-0 win

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,392 ✭✭✭d22ontour

Not really, when your midfield is bang average you give teams a chance. Mcfred is a mid table pairing.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,263 ✭✭✭EltonJohn69

Hopefully the combination of Cavani’s work rate and last chance saloon force a big performance out of martial.

I expected/hoped for van de beek start… I assume we will see him come in late in the game.

Yeah but options of Beek, Matic & Pogba doesn't give him much options.
