search by newest produces no results

This is happening since the change to the new site and is happening on both mobile and desktop sites. When I do a search, a list of results is produced sorted by "best match" by default. When I change to sort by "newest", it shows an empty list.

I've always found that "newest" produced the best results. Best match tends to pick up threads that are years old which aren't helpful if you're trying to find up to date info

I keep coming up with threads from the ancient archives of the time capsule of Boards by Best Match too.

We're aware of the issue and have asked for it to be fixed. In the meantime what might work better is to stick with 'Best Match' but to add a recent date filter on the right hand side, e.g.

Before adding date, results from 2013 and 2015 at the top

After adding dates more relevant results

search by newest produces no results
