North Face, Berghaus hasn't cut the mustard for farming work here.

I saw a recommendation for Stoney Creek stuff on TFF but I'd rather not buy from the UK with the extra charges now, has anyone seen Stoney Creek here?

Mostly for fencing work and other slogging around in horizontal rain.

I have tried them all & nothing beats Guy Cotten. They have a couple of jackets, aimed at farming, which combine the total waterproofing of fishing gear with breathability.

I have the Eureka jacket & it's excellent. The Dremfarm is also well recommended.

I bought the Eureka jacket. Not very impressed with it. You'd be drenched in sweat. The best jackets I find are those hi vis jackets with the lining on inside.

I am very surprised. I have often worn mine all day in pouring rain with no sweat.

e-Vent waterproof fabric is the most breathable I am aware of. It would appear some manufacturers of professional use garments use it: http://www.eventfabrics.com/products/#professional

Fortunately, or unfortunately, my Eureka should be here in less than ten minutes 😂

Going to try a cheapie ex military goretex jacket too if I can find it in the right size.

Looking for another good set also as often times it's days/weeks of rain here.

So I got the Eureka jacket and the Barossa bib & brace, fits pretty good. The hood is fantastic. Just need Rain X for the specs and I'm ready for heavy weather 😂

A builder left his jacket at my house and one snowy morning I put it on for a walk with the dogs. I might look like the Michelin woman in it but it’s the best jacket for keeping me dry, warm and seen.

I would recommend two additions.

A good waterproof baseball hat, with a good peak, to wear under the hood. Stops the rain falling on your face.

A neck collar that stops any rain from dripping down your face & down you neck. This one is excellent.
