Same, although this was also happening on my OnePlus 5 with OxygenOS 10, so might be an app issue.

Phone is rooted and on android 10

I connected phone to pc and only charging. Tried 3 different cables, including official one and 3 different USB ports and not showing on pc. I can hear noise it's connected to pc but then another noise to disconnect

Also tried to connect to usb in car for android auto and no connection

Usb debugging is enabled and default usb configuration I can change to file transfer, usb tethering , midi, ptp & no data transfer. I changed it to each of them still not showing

There is no option to choose mtb from drop down notification no notification is there

I rebooted phone and pc and cleared cache. Also i app settings allowed notifications.

I'm at the end of my tether trying to figure out what issue is as was working previously.

Now all its doing is charging

    Any suggestions

No Joy PC not picking up anything and cannot see any device connected tried on laptop and again no usb notification drop down

usb notification drop down not coming up on phone to change settings when I plug phone into port.

Also not working on USB ports in car to connect to android auto

Was onto one plus themselves and only option send it for repair.. Seems nuclear but I've tried everything. Searched xda, you tube and nothing works

Would it be worth restore it to backup version

    Anyone assist with this

Have not re installed back up yet but trying to work out how it's now only charging with cables that worked before and also official cable

No notifications appearing on the phone when I connect usb cable so can't change anything on the phone

Check the connection going into the phone that it's not full of compressed fluff.
Stick a little sharp drawing pen into it and wiggle it around and see if it dislodges anything.
Could be enough to allow the phone to charge but not negotiate data transfer protocols.

Try this. Worked for me when my pixel 4a wasn't showing up in Windows explorer.

Go to Device manager. Open 'ACER Composite ADB Interface' and select 'Update Driver...', in the opened window select 'Browse my computer for driver software' then 'Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer' in the list select 'MTP USB Device' and click on Next button.

At the end of my tether now

Installed one plus driver on laptop and same issue the phone just charges and there are no notifications on phone

I have updated drivers installed drivers and all in one and pc still cannot see phone. I have tried to connect it again android auto via usb in car and no joy

If the phone is charging then sure the usb port must be working?

I have tried 3 different cables including official one and same issue

I have not updated to Android 11 and my only thing to try now is to revert back to a restore via twrp and see if this will work as all other avenues exhausted:mad:

Tried cables and pc with old one plus 5 phone and all working ok with that.

So it seems to be some issue with the op7 phone

    Anyone got any ideas

You will just have to wipe the phone and reinstall Android 10 or 11 which ever one your phone is on.

Tried this but no acer or otherwise available
Pc does not see any device connected

Sounds like an issue with the phone. I'd send it back to OnePlus if I were you. You've a 2 year warranty. They're incredibly quick. I sent my OnePlus 7t pro off last Friday for a screen replacement. I'll have it back tomorrow.

Have a back up going back to March and going to restore it to that and see if that works.

Also not getting push notifications from Bank so cannot approve online payments?

If above does not work going to send it back to OnePlus and see what can be done

Was looking at upgrading but will hold out for a while

    Update

Restored it back to back up version and then phone got stuck on Bootloader and could not restore it or boot to recovery mode no matter what i did

Got onto OP and sending in for repair and still under warranty so hopefully no cost . Only problem is that I will get it back as factory and with Android 11 and not rooted :( Had pictures backed up

Now on old OP5 phone and pain in the A restoring old apps and logging in again

Take it phone gets picked up by courier and sent to Poland ? Could take a week they say

Have had my 7 Pro since launch and still very happy with it. Planning on keeping it another 15-16 months or so and maybe trading up to the Pixel 7 when it launches.

The battery still lasts a full day (helped a lot by the fact I haven't been charging it overnight since working from home for the past 18 months) but I still find the odd time after some apps update that the battery drain gets far far worse. I had about 6 apps update yesterday and one of them must be the culprit as I can actually see the battery percentage come down as I type this message. Prior to that I'd got through a full day (admittedly one where I hadn't used my phone too much) with 50% remaining. I presume this is still an issue for all Android phones and not just OnePlus, it's a bit annoying that in 2021 it still happens regularly though.

Have One Plus 7 pro on Android 11 and not rooted.

Getting notification to update. Not done this on non rooted phones so could back up everything.

Take it you just download and install does it's bit and then reboots with no app changes ie full restore

    That correct

Only way I can back up is via Google should anything bugger up

    Cheers

hi guys I've had my oneplus 7 about 3 years now, battery starting to drain quite fast. I see on the website i can get a battery replacement for about 8 quid...is this the best route to go down?
