Medical card start date

I recently applied for a medical card and have just logged in to see that I have been approved. However it says that the start date is for 17th July 2015.. Why would it say that?? Would it be a clerical error?

Hi, the physical medical card does not show the date valid from only date it expires.

Have you ever had a medical card before 🤔 at a guess the dates your seeing may reflect the date you were first issued a medical card or perhaps its just an systems error.

Can you see expiry date of the card your being issued, that the most important date.

I haven't had a medical card since I was a child. The expiry date is March 2023. I think its a systems error alright - just caught me by surprise

There was an odd post in another thread now that I think about it, a person mentioning 2015 also but on an different question. I've a feeling with the cyber attack, their online system hasn't been fully to normal and they are just using a generic date, if you get my meaning. Glad you got approved 😉
