Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

I would suggest that the OP is updated - it currently states that "You can use this thread to request access to the Soccer Group for the time being. Posters need to be a member for at least 1 month and have 50 posts on Boards."
This would suggest that those wishing to post need to have 50 previous posts, and be a member for at least 1 month (i.e. similar restrictions to the old soccer tickets thread, if I remember correctly), whereas (read-only) access can be requested.
