    Can you pull out of a property purchase if you have signed contracts and the seller has not?

    The seller has been playing games for months and enough is enough now, just want to move on and forget about it

    Greedy hoor probably reckons he get a lot more for it now …. Lots of lads out there looking for crazy money for their houses at moment … anyways hope you get sorted one way or the the other

    If seller has not signed then the contract is not complete and you should instruct your solicitor to get it scraped ASAP.

    If it is months, then your are screwing yourself as prices are rising whilst you are footering about waiting on them to sign. Start looking elsewhere.

    No its not that they want more, it’s just there’s absolutely no hurry on them and everything is at their convenience. Their solicitor is using tricks to purposely slow things down too

    Nothing is binding until they have given you back signed contracts. Until then your solicitor just tells them you're pulling out and you then get your deposit back.

    Rather than pulling straight out though, you may be better off threatening to pull out first and see if that cops them on.

    You have no idea why the seller is delaying, it could be equally because they are in a chain and being delayed your self.


    OP ask your solicitor. You've signed the contracts, have you returned them to the sellers solicitor.

    You are paying a solicitor to represent your interests and advise you, why not ask them?
