Pat managing to make this segment like an interrogation, despite being in total agreement with the fella being interviewed (live entertainment industry rep campaigning to be let work again).

Mostly by making long-winded speeches with thinly disguised barbs being thrown in all directions.

    Aaaaaand, antigen tests again 🙄

someone should tell Pat about the city centers around the country, thousands walking around mask-less everyday out in the open, like Croke Park.

The reason is big amount of rural TDs who are all GAA types, no rules apply for the GAA crowd. Only fully vaccinated should be allowed into any event/venue.

Has me mentioned Afghanistan, or is that not important now that DT is gone ?

While I'm sure we all want things to return to normal as soon as it's safe it is probably correct to point out that there is a big difference between walking down the street and attending an organised event.

"Up next, the Love Island finale tonight...we get the details!" - said in the tone of a man with a gun held to his head.

When you think back of PK taking Trump to task over every little petty thing and now being content to brush Afghanistan under the carpet it is a poor sign of a balanced broadcaster.

The US has been blessed with many presidents of limited intellect, I'd wager Trump wasnt even the worst of them imv, Bush jnr was bordering on intellectually challenged with his good guy-bad guy hokum mixed up with God fearing old time religion. I've often wondered how in a country of over 300ml people these are the type with billions behind them that reach the position of potus... Is this "democracy" much touted by the US and the west much better than the tribal system used in many countries in Africa and the Middle East?

A Few Good Men is overrated.

Heard the podcast. Ivan "40 Pensions" Yeats is back from retirement. Media Consultant no less.

I wonder will he use some of the money he makes to pay back some of the hundreds of staff, suppliers, tradesmen etc he left in the lurch when he suddenly shuttered his betting business and fucked off for a 12 month holiday in Wales to avail of their favourable bankruptcy loopholes. Doubt it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2, Paid Member Posts: 7,649 ✭✭✭Allinall

He didn't shutter his business. It was done by AIB with him having no say, despite doing everything in his power to come to an agreement with them, which would possibly have seen everyone get their money.

Did he shout all that from the back of the ferry to wales? Stay there. I'll be back soon with your money.

I know several people who were left in the lurch when he fled the country. Staff and suppliers. They don't blame AIB. They blame him. AIB had to step in and do what they did because of the way he ran the bookmaking business into the ground. He then fled to Wales to protect his other properties and his many pensions from the Irish creditors that he shafted.

Who were all these foolish people that gave his company credit, without doing due diligence?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,113 ✭✭✭Technocentral

Love Prince but is Pat a fan at all or just using this as filler?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2, Paid Member Posts: 7,649 ✭✭✭Allinall

    He's reading from a script.

I'd say not a fan at all.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,750 ✭✭✭touts

In the real world business is built on credit. Staff work a month in advance. Suppliers give 30 days terms. Are you seriously trying to defend the actions of Ivan Yeats by blaming his staff and suppliers for being foolish enough to do business with a chancer like Ivan Yeats?

And in the real world, businesses go bankrupt every week of the year.

Those that do due diligence when extending credit usually don't get stung.

    antigen , GAA , antigen , GAA

    moan moan moan

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,483 ✭✭✭✭BPKS

Anytime he says GAA it's like he is spitting a bit of dog sh1t out of his mouth.

And he seems to be behind Electric Picnic going ahead in some false sense that people who go to that will wear masks, won't congregate or enjoy themselves like those who went to the match last week.

I seriously think PK won't be happy when we are back to normal, out meeting people and enjoying ourselves like we used to before.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2, Paid Member Posts: 23,248 ✭✭✭✭2smiggy

he seems to think the electric picnic is going to be an alcohol free event, with no camping, and people having one of his adored antigen tests daily before entry 😲

I know ...out meeting our friends to have good old moan..much better than the daily whinge with strangers on Boards.

Not afraid of it. Just there's nothing in it for them.
