Roche Ireland - Clarecastle

Hi All, I left Clare in 1985 for a new life in mainland Europe. This year after 36 years I returned to my old homestead in West Clare on holiday. What really happened Roche Ireland - Clarecastle that its been knocked to the ground? As I helped build this pharmaceutical plant in Clarecastle with Syntex Ireland.

Old plant, old equipment, Roche couldn’t sell it.

They were able to sell the other pharmaceutical plants they had for sale with Clarecastle and two of them are older than Syntex days (Pre-Roche)

Well they couldn’t sell this one for whatever reason. At least they are going to demolish it rather than just leave a rusting shell.
