Berlingo 1.9 towing

Have a Berlingo 1.9 van.

Am I okay to pull a horse box or cattle box with it?

All these new restrictions and talk of RSA pulling commercials around the country.

How would I go about checking?

With the price of a Hilux of landcrusier, I can't justify buying one for moving a few cattle a few times a year.

English site, but the rated towing weights should be the same/similar. 1250kg braked would rule out towing much in a cattle trailer.

You'd be best towing with a tractor or throwing a few euro's to a lad to haul them for you. Towing a cattle trailer with a Berlingo would be hard on them - plus they are very light at the back to handle a trailer.

Iirc the back axle on berlingos give a fair bit of bother. Towing a couple of ton may hasten it's demise!

have a berlingo Any bit of a hard pull and the temp. Gauge rises. Checked with other owners, they had same problem.
