Guess I'm headed to Sligo this weekend so seeing as I won't be at HQ. That was a nice run I had stretching back to 2009.

There were over 10k on it around 3 o clock so not sure what time or how long they were available but obviously would have to near the front no idea exactly how many were even available for purchase. Anyhow good luck to the lucky fans normal service next year hopefully.

I am trying to forget that am out of the loop in buying tickets on line always had the pass live and learn I suppose .

Was going mad myself. Being a season ticket holder ive not had to go looking for tickets since the final in 2011.

on the off chance i text a mate that works in a bar in a GAA club and he came up with the goods for me TG.

I was in the queue all morning then at 2:59 decided to check the main TM site. Got in straight away.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,088 ✭✭✭✭BonnieSituation

I couldn't get in at 3 on the main site. That being said, I didn't even know they were for sale at 3. That was pure fluke that I was trying then. Anyway, that's that for the weekend. Will enjoy it in the local sure.

Hello lads, long time no chat.... i hope yer all well.

No joy with tickets myself, but seems to be common under the circumstances. Hey ho.

Conor Lane the man in the middle, i like him - a good decent ref. Loves his coddle. Up the Dubs x

I heard from a mate that there were 1,000 going on general sale at 3

Checked on Twitter and there was a tweet there from the Mayo county board announcing it. Not a peep from our own county board about it.

Wonder what the breakdown in fans will be most likely more from the west .

Bad move to do a double header with LGFA, 95% of fans going to the later game wont go to the earlier one.

They could easily have done an LGFA double header with the other semi-final; at least people would watch the games.

At least we know for the next time now.

To be honest I feel like a bit of plank not getting the tickets. I was checking it nearly all day yesterday and everything. Only went through the GAA link because I thought it was 'more secure' way of getting tickets.

But when you think of it logically in hindsight it was just another unnecessary layer added. And going to the main ticketmaster website was the way to go.

Fair play to billy mays - like a fella who won a handy free and got the 'tap over'. Everyone else was waiting for the 'percentage shot' slow passing side to side. Easily closed down and marked.

I have been going around with an annoyed head on me all day. Cursing myself. I think I was lulled into a false sense of security getting the tickets handy online for the other matches. No sooner than the tickets were for sale they seemed to be gone. I assume people were hovering them up. I was in a 9000 plus 'queue' at the start which makes sense why they were gone so quick if the attendance is only 24k

I am hoping the tickets (I didn't get) went to a good home anyway from someone who will get value out of them from either county. It would annoy me if is someone who was only there to 'be seen'.

I rang the club and they explained the new procedure for getting tickets - has to with getting the code via email. A lot different to the normal way. It was confirmed there was none left.

Guff about stuff, and stuff about guff.

Folks, I have 4 Davin Upper tickets for this game. Looking to swap for either 2 hurling final tickets (and any price difference) or two premium level tickets to Kerry vs Tyrone (and any price difference). Might suit someone.

Tickets not for sale as it stands, ideally looking for a swap. Pop me a PM.

Anyone ever used O'Connell schools for parking on match day, is is easy to get out of afterwards? Any other recommendations for parking around the Dineen Stand side of the ground?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,074 ✭✭✭✭billyhead

You should find parking at the back of O'Connell schools in the housing estates or in Drumcondra In the housing estates behind Fagans. Just make sure you pay and display if required.

Have parked in the school for a League game not cheap if I can remember but think overall safer than some of the other spots around .Should be handy enough with the crowds attempt game .

if you are referring to the Gaa ticketmaster it’s just a ruse, you can’t actually get any.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,088 ✭✭✭✭BonnieSituation

I'm giving up. If one falls into my lap tomorrow I'll take it. But I'm setting myself up for heading to the local to watch it.

Have no clear thought on how this will go this evening form so far that i have seen is well down from recent years and i usually judge current form over the big step that is overdue .The previous few years i would feel the tension on the day but not so much this time managed to fluke a couple of hill tickets yesterday on the site so am heading and hopeing for the best enjoy and up the dubs .
