Not self aid related but today is also the 3rd anniversary of The Rolling Stones in Croke Park. What a great night that was back in 2018

I was too young to go but I remember my older cousins went as it was "great value" gig.



The Pogues and The Chieftans were given afternoon slots. For phucks sake.

At least Brush Shiels was thought of as the Status Quo opener. It's just too funny.

I was at this as a teenager and I've forgotten half the line up.

Only have a conversation last night with a pal about how I wish I had seen the Pogues live. Jaysus I'm getting old.

I just remember he seemed to be on The Late Late Show every week, harping on about Phil Lynott

The Blades turned it down, whatever about the rest. I remember Paul Cleary giving a reason why they didn't want to play but forget what it was precisely.

I always liked Brush, though in moderate enough doses was possibly advisable. I remember one of the stories involved Phil accompanying him on his honeymoon. They were definitely close anyway.
