Howdy, housemates phone went dead so he's looking for a replacement. Fell in love with the Redmi Note 10 Pro. Saw it on Amazon for roughly €330 including VAT.

He's on a tight budget. Just after getting a new job. I said I'd bargain hunt for him. Any suggestions? I'm roaming the EU Amazon sites and I'm a bit lost. Some sellers look a bit dodgy...

There's a 5G Note 10 which has very similar features to the Note 10 Pro but a few exclusions, you can get it unlocked from Vodafone at the moment for €99.99 if switching from another network (you can just use some burner sim for this process, can't be Lycamobile or Tesco). For a lot of people this phone will be plenty features they will need and at less than a third of the price as the Pro, nice feature to have 5G which the Note 10 Pro doesn't have. Both phones have NFC too.

Main negatives over the Note 10 Pro are:

No stereo speakers.
Slightly smaller screen 6.5inch v's 6.67
Poorer quality screen type
4GB RAM V's 6GB RAM in the 10 Pro
No fast charging, the Note Pro charges in about an hour.
Supports 2xSIM or 1 SIM+1 SDHC card. The 10 Pro supports 2xSIM+1 SDHC

Not meaning to hijack the thread, but I was also looking at the above phone from Vodafone, but am a bit nervous that the phone could come locked to the Vodafone network. Is there zero chance of this?!

I was also considering Huawei P Smart 2021, Moto E7i, Realme C21 and Oppo A53 based on spec alone and price. For 100 quid, would you recommend going with the RedMi 10 over all of these?
