    I haven't been following Simone's career but it is this type of crass and OTT coverage that has undoubtedly led to her struggling and withdrawing from the competition. You wouldn't ask loaded questions like this of people in most walks of life and it should not be acceptable with young and potentially vulnerable athletes.

    They were in Tokyo all along, they moved temporarily inside the broadcast centre, rather than the roof terrace, while the effects of the passing tropical storm were felt for a couple of days.
