Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

No matter what I try, the promo code doesn't come up.

Vodafone don't send cancellation emails. You have to check status manually on their site. How nice of them.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,094 ✭✭✭db

It was cancelled almost immediately but not before they put a pending transaction on my card. I'm not too concerned about that as I went through it a few times before with the €179 offer. I thought this was compensation for us. I bet if I went with the €199 price it would work though.

I wonder what would happen if they were reported to the ombudsman.

IF you do manage to get one of these are they locked to vodafone ?

  • Registered Users Posts: 222 ✭✭bifl

Sometime I had to clear the Vodafone cookies from my browser just to give me a fresh start after a failed attempt.

I launched from the Supervalu site and clicking the Switch Today button

    Link

You need a SIM that is on another network. You don't need to "switch", but the number will be moved to Vodafone SIM card. You can move it back after.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,554 ✭✭✭CyberGhost

My order is not showing up at all on the Vodafone page. Does that mean it's cancelled? Can you please share a screenshot, does it say "Cancelled"?

If the order is cancelled, I hope they've also cancelled the SIM move.

  • Registered Users Posts: 222 ✭✭bifl

Do you have to register so to actually check further?

I know previous attempt I got a mail link to register but not this time as I unticked setup account when ordering.

Ordered first thing this morning for €99 and received a dispatch email at 11.30. Used a 48 sim.

    Thanks OP

Are people actually switching to VF? The website experience would put you off for life

Seems like there's nowhere to enter the discount code??

  • Registered Users Posts: 82 ✭✭pumbah

    From https://n.vodafone.ie/offers/supervalu/supervalu-new-customer.html

    • Select keep my number and pick a plan before going to the basket
    • Apply the discount code: VFSV12 in the basket

worked for me (so far) :)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,791 ✭✭✭Raoul

Any screenshot of where to input the discount? I can't find it anywhere

How do you call Vodafone if you have no account with them? It seems they have no phone number at all.

Finally got through with 1907 only to get "We seem to be experiencing technical difficulties, please try again later" and it hangs up.

I have no idea how can a company this big have such atrocious service.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 187 ✭✭shatners bassoon

Don't have a screenshot but it appears immediately after you enter the code texted to the number you want to change. Before you do that there is no option.

  • Registered Users Posts: 84 ✭✭galway008

Worked me for me, after you receive the verification code on your mobile, you will see a section called promotional code and that where I put the code.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,761 ✭✭✭beachhead

I tried for the Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 5G when it was offered by vodafone last month. The payment wanted was e99 for the phone and e20 for a topup-select a plan to proceed.I expect this offer is the same despite what's said here. What did I do wrong/not see. Also,no collect from store option-delivery only. The topup was recurring

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 515 ✭✭✭chipfox

Do you have to pick a time for the network change to get that pop up? I've done it I don't know how many times, cleared cookies, etc, done every combination of offers, numbers, etc and I've never seen anywhere to put a promo code!

Are you entering your mobile number and then the verification code they send you?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 515 ✭✭✭chipfox

Yeah. Im just not saying what date to change my number. I dont want to change to vf

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,554 ✭✭✭CyberGhost

Placed yet another order. Another €99 charged. Previous one was cancelled apparently, yet they put €99 on hold.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 187 ✭✭shatners bassoon

That's your problem, you have to switch to get the deal

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,791 ✭✭✭Raoul

Perhaps that is my issue too. I thought I read somewhere that it would work for a new customer.

If anyone has a spare number and would be happy to send me over the verification number that I generate...that would be great haha.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 515 ✭✭✭chipfox

So the voucher option only shows after you commit to a change? Bit risky since theyre cancelling orders

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 187 ✭✭shatners bassoon

Sorry, i think wires are getting crossed. The 199 deal works without a code and you don't need to switch.

The supervalu deal gives you €100 off the phone, bringing it to €99 but you have to switch to Vodafone and enter the code.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 515 ✭✭✭chipfox

Is it handy enough to cancel the number change if it doesnt go through i wonder

  • Registered Users Posts: 200 ✭✭StopWatch

How long would one be required to stick with vodaphone? Can you change over after the first month?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,554 ✭✭✭CyberGhost

I asked the support stuff (after I finally got through). If the order is cancelled the number port is cancelled too. Imagine they port the number and you don't receive a SIM because the order is cancelled, then what?

An earlier post mentioned getting the phone at €199 without switching. Phone was unlocked and worked with a three SIM.

I just switched to VF using an old 48 SIM and got offered the phone at €99.

Will the €99 phone be unlocked even after switching to VF and useable with any SIM like gomo for example?

    Cheers.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 187 ✭✭shatners bassoon

I was told I didn't have to do anything further, the whole order was cancelled so no changeover would occur.

My order went through at €99, thanks op and whoever posted the SuperValu link.

Received a confirmation of order email but waiting on dispatch email.

Used a Lyca Mobile old SIM to change to Vodafone

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 515 ✭✭✭chipfox

Did anyone receive it? My order went through. Going to ring a physical shop in the morning to see if I can try pick it up

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,741 ✭✭✭honda boi

    Just ordered now.

Took €100 out of my revolut account .

    Status as submitted

    Any recommendations for covers?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 238 ✭✭lordsheepface

I wouldn't be buying any cover for it until you get a shipping email, which you may not even get due to a "technical glitch" as the Vodafone website likes to do repeatedly.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,791 ✭✭✭Raoul

Ordered a sim from 48 and a sim from lyca. So hopefully the offer is still on the go when they arrive

Phone arrived next morning. Last time i tried 6 times altogether from different accounts/phone numbers/ addresses.

I'm trying to port over to a spare An Post SIM I have to avail of the SuperValu offer but it keeps saying I'm already registered on the Vodafone network (I assume via An Post?). Does anyone know how I might be able to do this?

Currently have no other SIMs available to use for a few days (I have ordered a 48 but won't have it til Wednesday or Thursday and I'm worried the offer will be gone by then).

As per Super Value T&Cs, offer seems to be on until 9th Aug:

"The Offer may only be availed of between 12th July – 9th August 2021 only. You must redeem your discount code by 23:59 on 9th August 2021."

  • Registered Users Posts: 149 ✭✭newincity

Thank you so much for your response. Can you please share the process to move it back? Do I need to wait for some time to go back to my current mobile provider?

  • Registered Users Posts: 149 ✭✭newincity

Does Lyca also allow us to receive an SMS without paying monthly fees?

I got the order confirmation through after porting a 48 sim I had last night.

When should I receive the dispatch email and will I get a cancellation email if it is cancelled?
