Reverse Beepers in trucks

I'm in the process of figuring out if a Reverse Beeper is a mandatory requirement in a HGV in Ireland. It seems like they are recommended, but I can't find anything that says they are a requirement. In fact there is very little mention of them in the online research I've done, other than that they are recommended.…

Practically all trucks have one nowadays.

I'd start at the CVRT manual (truck NCT) to see if it's mandatory on all vehicles or just those after x date, here's a link to it...

After a quick scan it seems to be only a requirement to have reversing light.
