    Hi All

We have a steeltech shed where our cats sleep . We usually leave the door a bit open all year round .

At this stage, I think a cat flap would be a better option .

The steel would not have much width. I'm not sure if this presents an issue when fitting the flap .

Would anyone be able to recommend a certain type or one that is suitable .

    Thanks
    Barr

I don't have any experience of them myself, but I'd imagine they probably have a minimum thickness of door/glass necessary for installation. Some are designed for installation in walls and have tunnels as part of the design, but others can be installed in double glazed doors, for example, so would be suitable for installation in glass that could be only a cm or so thick.

Your steel shed is going be pretty thin, so you may have problems, but if it isn't thick enough, I'd think a piece of plywood or two with a suitably sized hole could be placed on the inside wall of the shed to provide the extra thickness if required.

Thanks Alun , the plywood sounds like a good idea . It should be a good work a round if the door isn't thick enough .
