We might take a risk and book two weeks away next summer. Would love to go back to Italy, have been before, this time though we will have a 3 and a 5 year old in tow so would love to do some kind of camping, maybe a cabin or a nice mobile home, two weeks, access to some places for siteseeing, swimming pools, friendly for children, nice onsite restaurants etc.

We had thought Lake Garda but totally open to suggestions, not keen on going to France, would love to stick to Italy.

Also, how is driving over there? I remember it seeming crazy when I was there last but didn't drive at all, is it a bit crazy?

    All suggestions very welcome!

Lake Garda is popular & there are a few sites close to Gardaland which the children might enjoy. IIRC there is one particular site where access to the theme park is included.

Also popular is the area along the Lido which isn't far from Venice. Union Lido is a huge site with kids clubs and entertainment with direct access to the beach. Went there a few years back and loved it.

We didn't drive but getting to the site was pretty straightforward on public transport, even from Treviso.
