It definitely feels like stock is improving. I got a StockInformer email alert for the 3070 from novatech.co.uk yesterday, and I was able to get to the site and refresh over the course of a few minutes as I watched the stock go from something like 8 to zero.

A few months ago it would have taken seconds. :pac:

I have seen no improvement in stock of the 3080's anyway.

Overclockers have had stock of numerous versions of the 3070's for a while now. mainly due to the ridiculous pricing

Haven't been looking this past week but that's the cheapest I've seen for a 3060ti at 802 euro.

Edit - nevermind I see even the 3070ti's are below 1000 now.

It is getting better, but still madness to pay 800eu for mid range card. Another few months and maybe we will see reasonable prices.

I've seen in pcspecialist that I can order the 3070ti for 750. Still though I should be getting a 3080 for that.

That's not bad at all, MSRP for the FE was around 620 with the current exchange rates, and depending on the model a lot of the 3rd party cards were always more expensive than that.

yep.. I reckon its the FE edition as the Asus Rog model is 400 euros dearer.
Normally I always build my own pc but this time around pc specialist only came in 30 dearer than I would pay for the parts on amazon etc so said to hell with it this time around...and as I found out one of the benefits it you can upgrade it later on from their site and this is where I saw the 3070ti...reckon I will go for it now

Do you have a link to the model?

Do you have a link to the model?

no..it just says 8GB Nvidia Geforce RTX 3070ti . No model number.
Could even be a OEM part etc but I don't really care about that.
    783 it comes in at.

    nope...that's with vat..
    655 ex vat

If I add an rtx 3070ti it adds €940 to the cost of a build including vat when compared to a PC with no GPU.

I mean model of PC. I notice the same thing MidlanderMan has. I tried a few different PCs but each one will add nearly a grand to it when I add the 3070Ti. Even upgrading to 16GBs of 3200Mhz ram cost about €100 which is pretty poor value. It would be cheaper just buying it somewhere else and adding it in yourself.

Does anybody know if the FE MSRP prices are quoted with or without VAT? Nvidia quotes 649 GBP for UK - is that without VAT?

With UK VAT. My 3080 FE from scan worked out at £661 incl delivery back in November

    ahh..
    I configured mine from scratch.
    AMD platform.
    Asus Tuf plus 550f motherboard
    Corsair 4000D chassis
    Ryzen 5 5600X
    Corsair 16GB 3200Mhz RGB
    1TB Corsair NVM
    Corsair 750w PSU
    PCS100 CPU Cooler
    No- GPU
No Operating system or backup (it still comes with an unlicensed copy - ebay for license)

I wonder if the price of the 3070ti is only that price for an upgrade path.

EVGA have mailed me about the 3 series notification sign up on their site.

Was informed I've been moved to an "LHR" que instead of the one I was in,the one without the limiter I'm guessing. Has anyone actually managed to get a card from EVGA directly? I thought they were mostly just supplying the US

I got three of those today, thought i was getting notified re. purchasing.

They seem to prioritise the US market first. The last time I checked about a month ago, I was at about position 10/12 on the EU list for a 3080; hardly moved in the last 4 months, signed up in October '20. gave up since and went with a pre-built inc, an asus TUF 3080 from ankermann instead.

I don't normally care for video reviews, but that one was good.

for anyone looking for a cleaner 12pin cable that has a 30 series founders, I ordered a 12 pin from moddiy, it took two and half months to deliver going ground mail as it seems no air-mail allowed into Ireland from HK since the pandemic

its excellent quality and much cleaner than the adapter that comes with the nvidia

    https://www.moddiy.com/products/Custom-Sleeved-PCIE-Modular-Cable-for-NVIDIA-RTX-30-Series-Mini-12-Pin.html

coupon code next10 should get a few euro off too

What sort of length did you go with? I'm assuming 60cm should be more than enough

I went with 70cm which I over-estimated for my corsair 280x, 60cm would have been better

But it all depends on your case/motherboard layout and how you want to route it

I didn't wanna come up short so hey-ho, just stuffed the excess in rear of case out of sight. Only issue I have now is cable combs, I never ordered any off moddiy which was a mistake

Has absolutely nothing to do with the Vat changes from 1st July.

Assuming your friend was buying personally and not through a business the German seller should have deducted German Vat and applied Irish Vat to the sale if he imports more than €35,000 in a 12 month period. It's been like this for a long time now.

I thought we've always paid the Irish Vat, even Steam, any gaming vendors it's Irish Vat.

All eyes on Kursk. Slava Ukraini.
