So after a year of waiting to get out of Dublin, we drove to Connemara for a family holiday only to have our 2013 e220 to go into limp mode complaining about air intake leak, right in the absolute arse end of Connemara between roundstone and clifden.

It still drives but clearly hesitant as it is in limp mode.

Does anyone here know a good mechanic, preferably one that knows about these sh1tbuckets , anywhere west of Galway or near clifden? I’m pretty stuck here with the family, the dog, and a limping car 🥺

Terry jackson around the Bray area don't know of any out the Galway direction
But any good mechanic out west should be able to get you sorted or a main dealer if your really stuck and want to splash the cash

Thanks. yep I actually live less than 10 mins away from Terry Jackson and I know how good he is but unfortunately here in Connemara I am in an emergency situation 300km away from him and 1hr30min from main dealer in Galway, hence looking for someone local!

Last person i saw with that fault - it turned out kinda pricey but it could equally be a simple leak.

...in Inverin and about 40k west of Galway. Make sure to ring in advance as they're always busy.
