Steeltech shed earthing

    If a steel shed has power going to it with a number of sockets and lights installed inside, do you need to have the shed itself connected to the earth wire? Shed is bolted down to a concrete slab.

    i would assume that the swa coming from the house board earth rod to to shed would be satisfactory

    Hypothetically if a live wire touched the shed would the RCBO in the house that the SWA is connected to trip?

    It should yes, running the SWA and then fitting its own board in shed would be how I'd do it.

    If a sub board is being fitted in the shed, you wont want the supply to it connected to the house RCD.
