Newbrook House, Rathfarnham

I was driving down Taylor's Lane just the other day & couldn't help but notice the state of Newbrook House. All boarded up now & looking semi-derelict.

What's going on here?

I know that the builder's providers business that operated from the grounds ceased trading well over 10 years ago. Within the last 5 or 6 years I have seen 2 (I think) estate agent signs at the gate. For a while Morton's coaches were using it as an extension to their depot but does anyone know what is currently happening or what plans there are for the site?

Thanks. You don't happen to have a link to that by any chance? As I couldn't find anything on the SDCC planning website.

Doesn't seems to have been applied for yet, but site was sold for housing development.

Ah yes, I remember seeing the Agar sign when it first came on the market. I believe the other sign I was after that was for Knight Frank. Hard to believe that nothing has been done with the site yet. The house looks to be in terrible condition...

I have attached an image of a flyer that was posted through letterboxes in the area.

It looks like a care home will built on the section of the site where the builder's providers business traded from.

Planning permission has not been submitted as of yet.
