    Hi,

    I'm in the middle of applying for jobs and any recruiters or HR people I speak to seem to have no work from home policy post covid or else require you onsite full time. It seems to be in stark contrast to what the media is presenting. I am done with renting in Dublin and want to work from home at least part time. To keep the forum short can we do a list of companies ye work for. Simple response just:

    Company Name: X
    Post covid/post September 2021 policy: Eg everyone on site full time/full remote working/partial remote 3 days week.

    I'm not saying where I work but it's a MNC with 3 sites in Dublin and a manufacturing site elsewhere in Ireland.

    Pre-covid they had launched a Work/Life Balance initiative allowing people work up to 3 days a week from home but that got swamped by covid and there's been no definite decisions made since. I have heard that plans are being made to facilitate those who have no need to visit the office move to WFH permanently but they are only at the information gathering stage of that.

    I work in an EMEA role and very rarely speak to anyone based in Ireland so I'm hoping to switch to WFH permanently. If they don't allow that I'll start looking for a new position because I'm not going back to working in and commuting to Dublin.

    Not my job but my husbands. Wont say the company either but its a MNC. Already reduced floor space in Ireland, have not renewed leases in other countries so already full time work from home has been adopted by those who work in affected offices.

    Current talk is reducing staff numbers in high cost locations including Ireland. Try and accommodate all staff as much as possible. Regular surveys to see who wants to come back to the office and how often. Looking likely hybrid will be the approach on paper but in practice people will work where they want and no one will care once the work is being done.

    No one is going to name the company, my husband they are doing a hybrid model my daughter they have been told it's mostly working from home with occasional days in the office, not every week it will be for meetings and the like, if they want to work in the office they will have to make a case for it i.e they cant work from home for some reason it's a large financial institution, my sister hasn't here yet but is hoping for 4 days working from home and 1 day in.

    It will have a big effect on hospitality and restaurants one of the above there is a lot of corporate socialising paid for by work if they are not working in town a lot of that will not happen.

    Won't say where, but large state body. Looks like my role post-Covid will be WFH 4 days a week, and only go to office using hot desks 1 day a week. Other operational roles will be identified as 100% WFH. And third category is those whose role requires them in office 5 days.
