I'd love to get a bean to cup coffee machine, but suspect that i won't have the patience for a manual or semi auto one (and my family definitely won't), so looking at fully automatic.

the delonghi autentica looks like a decent value machine - it's currently on sale at €500

would anyone have any opinons on this or recommend an alternative (budget upto €800)

Have a basic delonghi Caffe corso bean to cup and a dualit milk frother as my automatic set up used at least 4 times a day can't fault it.

The majority of the delonghi machines have the same innards from a coffee making perspective. It's the size and design of machine that makes the price difference.

If I was switching I might go to a Melita as I love the styling.

I have a DeLonghi Eletta that gets used daily now I’m working from home.

Fine machine. I have very little to complain about. I do find the amounts dispensed are small, but I like to use mugs rather than cups but I have some smaller cups for the machine now. They work fine.

Coffee goes cool relatively quickly but since the cups dispensed are small even for cappuccinos, it’s not a huge deal. You’ll be ready for a fresh cup before the whole thing goes cold anyway.

Otherwise it gets to heat quickly and has a decent reservoir and bean hopper. Lots of options with programs to keep things interesting.

The eletta and authenticate are fairly similar so if what I’ve written sounds ok to you, I’d say you’d be fairly happy.
