Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi All

Im wondering if I get an Inheritance after our divorce is done can my ex claim any of it. There is a Order in it under Section 18 (10) of the Act of 1996. That neither will be entitled after the death of either to anything. But does that cover if either of us win the Lotto or get gifted in a will.

Open to correction, but there is no automatic right to a share of inheritance.

However if it changes the dynamic when it comes to maintenance orders then the other party can apply for a change based on the new financial circumstances.

As a solicitor mentioned to me, here, you are never truly divorced even when you are.
