Pat introducing Q Anon to his listeners, an audience which probably knows nothing about it.

This is due to his fascination with US media stories.

Our media only dying to introduce US style culture rubbish here.

So much air time has been spent on Trump to the detriment of issues around the world. It has led to a nation that only cares about what's going on in America and to a lesser extent, Britain.

Stop. He was the most significant politician in most of our lifetimes and you've had an issue with a light being shone on his ineptitude since day 1.
And UK politics also has been quite significant and impactful from an Irish perspective over the last 4 years.

They probably cover 10 unique topics per day, how many of them are US focused? 1 a day? And not every day I expect.

I don't know the answer to this but in the likes of Germany, Italy, Hungary, Greece, Denmark etc, is there as much infatuation with US politics in current affairs programmes as there is here.

PK admitted in a moment of weakness a few weeks ago that he has US news on at home all day.

    link here from 2016

Seems to be €72k in 2016 with little other benefits. Not too much really, compared to what some of the other 'charity' CEO's receive !!

Then there is Tuath, Cluid, FocusIreland, SvdeP, Simon, Crosscare, PMcV, Respond, +260 more.... all duplicate what one agency, the Dept of Housing or the local authority should do

Well done Pat. Someone finally calling out Sinn Fein for their dubious activities. Eoin resorts to not very subtle threats of legal action to try and silence opposition. Eoin's happy socialist mask has slipped and the Trotsyisk reality emerging.

Pat making a show of himself. Digging anywhere for some scrap of dirt on Sinn Fein. Only makes people suspicious of his motives and pushes more people to vote for Sinn Fein. Only time will tell whether this is a good or bad thing, but the media over scrutiny as opposed to what happens with other parties only helps Sinn Fein.

I voted for EOB and would generally be a fan, but it sounds like Pat is taking him apart.

You mean party taking what they say is anonymized data from under pretense is not sinister? How do you know it's anonymous, they already lie who they are why wouldn't they lie what they do with data. Personally I think it awful.

Of course he is. Someone finally had the courage to stand up to him.

Me too, shame really but they sure do look alike a gravy train for the people running them. The more time they are given in media the bigger the salaries seem to be.

I regularly see a comment on this thread which makes me wonder was the poster listening to a different station.

Oof. EOB is gonna need a sweet cup of tea and a sit down. He should put his phone on silent for a half hour and take some time for himself before he answers to the wigs in HQ.

Jaysus Pat really takes them apart. Before the Shinners start screaming media bias, he takes everybody apart the same no matter what party.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,968 ✭✭✭✭EmmetSpiceland

Does anyone seriously buy that “poor mouth” routine from O’Broin? This is a party with big pockets, large property holdings and one who are in receipt of large sums of money from English wills.

Hiring a reputable, and real, polling company sounds like a lot less hassle than going about putting together a 77 page document, fake IDs and a fake company to trick the unsuspecting public into giving them information.

Very shinnister carry on and something no normal party would engage in.

ya that seems like more effort and more of a cost than just hiring a company to do it for you. Almost like there was some other reason behind it :pac:

The unfortunate part is that alot of people completely ignore this kind of issues. I can't vote in Ireland but frankly I find the way SF operates closer to some totalitarian party than normal democratic party. Something better suited to Putin's Russia.

One of the things that struck me about the Pat and O'Broin interview was how carefully and slowly Pat said the name of the fake market research company SF used...I...M...R...A

Exactly. Nothing annoys him more than someones inability to give a straight answer.

There might be nothing in it (Irish Market Research Agency), but it does seem like it could be a SF in-joke.
