Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

I don't know where we're going, but we know where we are? (Part whatever)

It has clouded over here somewhat, still lovely but was gorgeous out earlier .
Now to find the motivation to get off my ass and go outside and do something :)

Still sunny here and Alfie has decided he’s taking it easy today :) I agree with him :D

Lovely day here too, a hour of clouds earlier but mostly cleared up now.

The weeds are mocking me though, so I might have to put manners on them today!

I'm enjoying the daisies and butter cups in the garden atm. My lawnmower man hasn't shown up this week, it wouldn't want to get much longer but the buzzy beasties like it which is drawing in the birdies too.

Listening to an Irish playlist on Spotify and a song is playing now that I associate with a really content time just before the most devastating time of my life. What a weird feeling it invokes. Happy/sad is an understatement. A ball of mixed emotions, none of them mild. Glad today is calm. No looking backwards today.....

Driving along and came upon a cycling group, nice day for a cycle but please keep to one side of the road and not take over the road, I had no intention of overtaking them as it was too dangerous but if they were to meet an oncoming car there would have been an accident.

Now relaxing in the back garden with the birds for company :)

I had one cyclist yesterday. There was a cycle lane so in theory plenty of space for both of us. Except for he kept coming into my lane as to be fair there were potholes/cracks/drain but at the same time I could easily have been beside him as he weaved. So had to wait until there was no oncoming traffic to fully move out and overtake.
Such a waste of a cycle lane.

Extremely lazy day today - just reading in bed earlier on, chilling and stayed in bed until a rather decadent hour.

Needed the sleep - so I am making no apologies! :D

Or did somebody else just pay the bill for ya?

Please say its the first one....... :D

sure there isn't a Chinese or chipper in the country safe with him around.

I wonder was that fish and chips in Tramore the other day "free" as well.... Hmmm.... :pac:

It's very boring. A special guest paid for it.:D

Same guest gave us upcycling lessons in the garden. A great day. Not so much sun, but it was warm and calm. Back to Belfast early in the morning.

Fabulous morning out there! Kitchen cleaned, lawns cut, shower had, emails checked, 30 pages of a crap book read and sugar free granola eaten. I like the sugar free granola coz you feel all healthy buying it and then you add sugar to it when eating it and you feel all happy because it tastes better now. So its a win-win situation. :pac:

I may have just eaten a 500g tiramisu for breakfast....
    :)

Beautiful sunny morning here :) Alfie has gone for a snooze after his walk :)

Currently kitchenside deciding what to have for breakfast and granola sounds nice but not that healthy stuff :D

Had a perfect poached egg for breakfast. So easy to cook when it was a fresh egg.

A present of a dozen eggs yesterday from a hen keeper. Reminded of the days when I kept hens and enjoyed the super fresh eggs.
Added bonus was I ate outdoors in the morning sun. Bliss.

Grass cut at last after all the wet weather, showered and dressed and wondering what to do with the rest of the day.

Sit outside or drive somewhere nice?

Sitting in the 'garden' with a pint. Himself is getting the vaccine later so no pub until the weekend. The local is packed with people sitting outside. Its amazing. It feels like the last year and a bit has been a collective nightmare and we've all woken up. The blasted thing has another trick up it's sleeve I fear but for now we are awake :)

Enjoy your pint! I hope someday soon there will be the possibility of a boards beers. That's long overdue.

I think this is the first day when things genuinely felt normal, not just 'sorta looks normal'. I was in the village earlier and couldn't find parking because of the crowds out socialising, like a normal, thriving Summer day. Great stuff.
