Why is it that small Peugeots in black just never look good?

Actually not just small ones but most Peugeots in black just do not look good. The only one I have ever seen that looked good in black was the 508.
Other makes can sell cars in black and they look good like Citroen, Volvo , Ford or Opel.
The brothers 207 was offal dull in black but a same year 207 in red or blue looked lovely.

Any cars you notice that do not look good in certain colours?

Anytime I see a white car I just think of a wedding car.

Newer Peugeot's don't look good full stop. I saw one of those new 3008s the other day. An absolute abomination..
