Heifer calf with soft bugle in naval.

Calved a month ago, was inside for 3 weeks never noticed any naval issue. Checked her when walking there and she has this really soft bugle. When squeeze it totally goes inside her, would it be a hernia? She didn't seem in pain with it. It's fluid. Her naval is dried up no scab there. Will bring her home in morning to check temp. Haven't seen this before bit doesn't seem right. Any ideas?

Hernia. Usually disappear with age. Get vet if it enlarges or she shows signs of colic. Otherwise don't fuss about it. Won't keep for breeding though.

Hereditory.

Used to be a lot of hernias around 30 years ago. Now, they are rare. Bred out largely.
