It's all the sh1te they have forced to be added to diesel engines, egr valve, particle filter etc to pretend they're green. Ordinary households should not be using diesel unless they're doing big milage. It was a huge mistake to promote diesel as being cleaner than petrol. Mazda are not alone with having issues, plenty of other brands have their own issues

Mazdas issues here are down to poor research and design. Sure a diesel isn’t for everybody, but Mazda often look at things from a clean sheet which has pros and cons.

The engine when it works is lovely- very economical, respond, refined and powerful. Just a shame it has all
    these design flaws

Yep they are a lovely motor, pity about the issues. The 180ps platinum spec I had was an absolute pleasure to drive

I tried the Passat, Mondeo and Insignia- all round much better apart from maybe the Passats interior. Everything else it had them licked. I was sold on the test drive

    Ode To The Motorist

“And my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, generates funds to the exchequer. You don't want to acknowledge that as truth because, deep down in places you don't talk about at the Green Party, you want me on that road, you need me on that road. We use words like freedom, enjoyment, sport and community. We use these words as the backbone of a life spent instilling those values in our families and loved ones. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the tax revenue and the very freedom to spend it that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise I suggest you pick up a bus pass and get the ********* ********* off the road”
