Are sink taps all standard fitting?

Hi, need to get a new kitchen sink tap, I have bought a new sink but nowhere in the blurb does it say what size the hole for the tap is, equally I notice the taps I am looking at on Screwfix don't seem to mention sizes in the main bit either. Are they all standard size? Am I safe enough just picking one!

You mention a single hole for the tap, so it is probably a monoblock tap. Everyone I've seen is the same size, 35mm
