Buzzing, intermittent on low setting, on new Nordmende hob

Got a new kitchen installed by Cash and Carry and the Nordmende hob installed, and wired by my own electrician, emits a seriously loud buzzing.

Tried different pots and pans and all the same. I'd expect a low buzzing but this is definitely louder than I'd expect plus it's intermittent on a low setting - see video below:

It appears to heat fine but that buzzing would absolutely do your head in.

Gonna ring C&C on Monday about it but any thoughts as to whether it's maybe the norm, faulty hob, faulty wiring?

I'd contact the electrician first, it sounds like faulty wiring.

If the sparks says that it's a fault with the appliance, do not let C&C fob you off to KAL (the local distributor) as they are completely useless for support.

As the retailer who sold you the appliance, it's C&C's responsibility to sort you out regarding your consumer rights. You have the right to replacement, repair or refund, which one in the first instance is down to the retailer and unless it's a non-servicable unit, they will almost always attempt a repair.
