We might be complaining about the heat in a few weeks.

Nah. But the coming warm spell might break down but it wont give up if that makes any sense.

The warm incursions of High Pressure are briefly broken down by low pressures sliding through but they reestablish themselves again.

What we dont want is a low sliding down over us like May as we have seen they last for weeks.

Id say we will see temperatures into the 20s many times over the next couple of weeks.

Will bank that after the last few weeks. Hopefully a prelude to a scorcher of a summer :)

Finally feeling much more like May today than the middle of winter. The next few days look decent enough however there could still be some showers or light rain around in places so it won't be completely dry or sunny. It may start to turn cooler and more unsettled again from next week but we shall see.

Gorgeous here before dawn with noctilucent clouds and a full moon setting. Clouded up during the early morning, but it's breaking up again now.

Finally, a nice day in cork. I am actually sitting outside in a t-shirt, and there's no cold wind! Shocked.

Ditto in my part of Dublin 16. Felt like the first summer day. High of 17.6c.

today was a beautiful day here in Meath, got to 17C during the afternoon and loads of sunshine. Tomorrow isn't looking good, plenty of cloud and some rain around. Big improvement again from Friday afternoon after a wet start, and looks like holding dry till about Monday or Tuesday and temperatures could reach 19 or 20C in places over the weekend.

The UK looks set for a very warm week next week, we are unlikely to get the warmth they will get but temperatures of 17 or 18C is possible in places next week.

Anyone with a good lens on their camera, there will be a big bright moon on the rise around 1015pm.

Lovely day. Sat out the back most of the evening and put the bbq on. Such a shame it's so rare to have nice days.

If you have clear skies opposite it in the North West Venus is shining bright low on the horizon.

Is that a downgrade for the weekend? Certainly no sizzler!

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,872 ✭✭✭Storm 10

Certainly not looking as good as forecast

    From ME
Summary: While it will become warmer over the weekend there will be a varying amount of cloud about mixed with rain and drizzle at times. The southeast will see the best of the drier brighter conditions, while it will be generally duller and cooler to the west.

Perfect conditions for the moonrise last night. Lots of people out taking photos of it and making the most of it.

A stunner of a morning in Dublin 13. Feels warm and very sunny. Unfortunate it couldn't stay this way all day.
