    dishwasher-high-loop
Lift the waste pipe off the floor and clip it to the underside of the worktop.
Hopefully that has solved your problem but for anyone else who might happen
    on this thread, here's a simple explanation of the high loop;

    https://paladininspections.com/dishwasher-high-loop/

The tendency now is to not use the standpipe system, but to connect into
the sink waste system via a spigot above the trap and if not done properly
    will cause problems.

No smell this morning at all :)

Thanks to everyone on the thread!

Will leave it a few more days before getting my hopes up too much!

I didn't read the whole thread, what was the solution? Put in a proper vertical standpipe for the drain?

Put in the Unshaped holder to hold the dishwasher pipe up in place to prevent backflow.

I did 2 things, not sure if it was one or both of them:

    1. Put in a high loop for the dishwasher waste pipe.
    2. Cleared out the external drain outside the kitchen with drain rods and some strong degreasing drain unblocker, leaving the hot water tap to run for a good 20 mins.

Good stuff I'd say you're delighted it's sorted.

Dont forget the Finish product to have in stock and might need it to run through in a couple of months keeping everything clean and fresh.

The dishwasher cleaner in Lidl is every bit as good and it's cheap as anything for 2 of them. They're sold in pairs.

Main thing with dishwasher is use good detergent. A lot of the fancy pods with liquid in them are way too high foaming .

You’re better off to use something like Sun tablets or Lidl / Aldi ones.

The expensive ones completely choke my dishwasher with foam.

Found Sun does a phenomenal job and it’s usually about half the price or finish or fairy.
