Hi all, apologies if this has been asked before but I seem to have clicked a dodgy link(not from porn haha) and it seems to have downloaded some virus to my computer. It seems that it tells me I have a virus(which I stupidly clicked on) and am wondering how I get rid of this please. I’m also wondering if my computer is safe to use please? I use chrome if that makes a difference.

You could download https://www.malwarebytes.com/mwb-download/ and see if it finds it. Or https://www.kaspersky.com/downloads/thank-you/free-antivirus-download

Both give you a premium trial and one might find whats wrong.

I don't think it's safe to use when the person using it is incapable if not clicking on stupid things over and over.

If it's not your antivirus telling you that it's a virus it might not be, it could just be a pop up tricking you into clicking into more stuff (seriously stop doing that man)

Aye show us the warning, but for sure run malwarebytes as mentioned above and see if it finds the source of your annoying popups.
