I'm happy enough with this. At least it's not Marty Guillfoyle.
Carl seems like a genuine sound lad.

    This too shall pass.

donnacha o'callaghan ?? - terrible "presenter", shouldn't even be on a podcast, never mind on the radio.

Oh Good Lord..Thankfully Spotify spares me from this!!

Shut down 2 FM....waste of money! Nobody listens to it. Anyone could do what those presenters do...

    Rinse & repeat.

    Donnacha.....

What is the rationale behind the decision?

If the objective is to reach younger listeners, is a 42 ex rugby player the right pick?

Carl seems like a sound bloke though who worked his way up compared to yer man off Love Island! Happy out for him!

Great to see 2FM giving presenting spots to young radio presenters like Donnacha who have studied hard and dedicated their careers to the profession.

    Why the change? :pac:

Who's replacing Donncha on Game On?

  • I’m delighted for Carl Mullan. He’s a great follow on Instagram. He’s hilarious and comes across as a genuinely sound guy! And exactly seems to have worked his way up too!

Don't forget to "stick RTE gold on instead" of it.

You also forgot the 'Is this what I pay my licence fee for?' snark when half of the time it is mummy or daddy who pays it.

If you pay tax you pay RTÉ. The Dept of Social Protection pay for "free" licenses.

Having 3 presenters on one show is over kill it always was even when it was Breakfast Republic.

Best of luck to them all but pointless exercise.

This is going to be a riot!
You can tell because they're all making funny faces in the promo shots.

Don't forget to "stick RTE gold on instead" of it.

Or the “I’ve been listening since 1979 and I don’t like it anymore” brigade!

What is the point of 2FM these days anyway, its hardly public service broadcasting trying to compete with commercial operators.

Same point as BBC Radio 1, 2 and 5 Live although RTÉ have to cram it into less stations.

    This too shall pass.

You mean RTÉ Radio 1, RTÉ 2fm and RTÉ Radio 1 Extra?

Noel Kelly working the oracle yet again with Donnacha getting that gig. Brutal on Game On.

Doireann Garrihy: seen a trailer for her online show.

It did not look particularly good.

    What exactly is her talent?

I understand she has sisters who are also unexplicably "famous".

    Worrying times all round.

Donnacha has obviously been hired to bring the "bants".

Yes “bants” and “craic” will be high on the agenda.
Donnacha with no shortage of work inside the RTE tent since his retirement.

They have to continue to shove Ian Dempsey's godchild down the irish public dont they....the see her and her sisters as the D4 Kardashians

Ian Dempsey's god child and her other sister (not the fair city one) is prominent in the PR scene so that opens the doors for her....was a "social media comedian" like the stevo timothy, just screeching and passing off the same voice as an impression, but she had a leg up on them as previously stated links

doireann won't be happy with a trio...as she asked bosses a few weeks ago could the show be all hers.

Ya I have to say, Donnacha was awful on Game On - His lack of Sporting knowledge resorted him to trying to crack stupid jokes.

‘Did yeh like riding horses Ruby? Get it?... Riding!!!’

According to the Independent, Doireann was keen on doing the breakfast show solo following Eoghan’s departure
