It also applies to email addresses - in case you were trying to post yours.

But it's very effective in stopping spammers. Especially since the desperate ones start posting crap to boost their post count, giving them away even before they can attempt to spam.

Edit:A shill was dumb enough to post here previously complaining about the link limitation. You can see how that worked out here.

Don't spam to get to the limit - that's against Boards rules. Very easy to get to the necessary posts once you engage with conversation and make sure you read forum charters.

50 posts? I thought it was down to 25? I’m new here and couldn’t post any pics till I have 25 posts?..... 2 down 23 to go....

This probably isn’t the best place to boost your post count Peadar, & reviving years old zombie threads to do it will only attract Moderator attention.

Have a look around & find a forum on Boards with a subject you’re interested in - art, sport, computers, politics etc (there’s something here for everyone!) & jump in. There’s plenty of the smaller ‘community’ type feeling forums where it’s easy to find like-minded people to chat with. You won’t be long getting up to that minimum post count, & without attracting unwanted attention to your posts.

Current Feedback rules require 3 months membership and 100+ posts before being allowed to post in Feedback

This thread predates the current set-up - thread closed
